Civil Litigation

This is a term that applies to any legal dispute where two or more parties are seeking monetary damages or a specific performance and does not include criminal accusation.

It includes description of incident, assignment of blame and request for a specific remedy. The plaintiff or accuser brings the case to a civil court and usually asks for money in compensation for damages caused by the defendant, or the accused.

The action is governed by the Civil Procedure Act, 2007, which South Sudanese rarely take advantage of.
