The Directorate of Registration of Businesses, Associations and NGOs shall exercise all powers, reasonably necessary, to fulfil the following functions of the Ministry—

• Registering companies, businesses, NGOs, societies, associations and other legal entities in South Sudan;
• Ensuring that all businesses are operated in accordance with the law;
• Registering patents, inventions, designs and intellectual property rights in South Sudan;
• Reviewing the articles and memoranda of association of companies and constitutions of associations and societies for compatibility with the INC, ICSS, and the States Interim Constitutions;
• Ensuring that NGOs operate in conformity with their own laws of establishment;
• Performing any other function or duty which may be assigned to it or reasonably related to the foregoing activities.
