Justice Ruben Madol Arol

Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

Ruben Madol Arol graduated from the University of Khartoum, College of Law in 1978.

In 1979, he was appointed as Assistant Legal Officer in the Ministry of Legal Affairs for the Regional Government of Southern Sudan, for duration of 6 months. In the same year, he was later appointed as an Assistant Judicial Officer for the Judiciary of the Republic of Sudan.

From 2000 to 2005, he was the Coordinator of the Judicial Management Committee of the Judiciary of New Sudan. In 2006, he was appointed as Member of the Supreme Court and Acting Registrar of the Judiciary of Southern Sudan. In 2008, he was confirmed as the Registrar of the Judiciary of Southern Sudan.

He became Secretary General of the Judiciary Service Commission in 2009. In 2011 he served as the Deputy Chief Justice of the Judiciary of the Republic of South Sudan and later retired from this position in 2016.

In 2019, he was appointed as Chairperson of the Law Review Commission.

In 2020, he was appointed by H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan as the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

Currently, he is serving as the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Republic of South Sudan.
